Soudal – BACKING is a silicate fiber-based, heat-insulating backing wool developed for firestop penetrations and joints. Replaces rigid backing wool behind sealants. Also suitable for high-temperature applications such as ovens and around chimneys.

Very soft composition, replaces rigid fire wool in penetrations
Easy and fast to pack into structures
Suitable for sealing chimney joints
