A mouse guard is a small-animal barrier made of electro-galvanized steel that prevents mice, rats, and other small animals from entering building structures and the ventilation gap between exterior cladding and the wall structure. Mouse guards are used with ventilated façade systems regardless of the exterior cladding material.
The mouse guard is attached to the surface of the wind barrier board or bottom plate with nails or screws through the holes in the strip.
The product range includes mouse guards designed for installation during the construction phase in new buildings. For new construction, mouse guards are available for ventilation gaps up to 25 mm or 45 mm.
