Geotextile

The world’s northernmost and Finland’s only geotextile production factory is located in Jyväskylä, Central Finland. At our Jyväskylä factory, MELTEX manufactures geotextiles for the demanding conditions of the Nordic region in a wide range of sizes and quality classes.

Why choose MELTEX geotextile?

  • Service life of 100 years
  • NorGeoSpec and CE certifications
  • Domestic production using renewable energy
  • Over 60% lower logistics emissions

Manufactured with advanced technology in Jyväskylä

The geotextile is made of polypropylene fibers using the needle-punching method. The process includes carding, needle punching and thermal treatment – without any adhesives or binding agents. The result is a strong, flexible and consistent-quality fabric that withstands wear and maintains its performance year after year.

Quality is ensured by:

  • ISO 9001 quality management system
  • Internal and external quality control
  • NorGeoSpec 2012 certification
  • CE marking

A responsible choice – combining environment and quality

MELTEX geotextiles are manufactured entirely with renewable energy. The products’ long service life and adhesive-free structure enable recyclability. Domestic production reduces logistics emissions by up to 60% compared to imported fabrics.
