Pipe production

MELTEX manufactures durable plastic pipes for Finnish infrastructure construction at its factories in Jyväskylä and Kuhmoinen – from cable protection to stormwater networks. Our pipe range extends from 20 mm up to 900 mm and covers all key applications.

Why choose MELTEX pipes?

  • Manufactured in Finland using renewable energy
  • Service life of over 100 years
  • Lightweight and easy to transport – smaller carbon footprint
  • Excellent chemical and mechanical resistance

How a pipe is made – extrusion technology

The pipes are manufactured from thermoplastic using the extrusion method. In the process, the raw plastic material is melted, shaped and cooled on the production line. The pipe is then cut, marked and fitted with seals before packaging.

Materials used:

  • Polypropylene (PP)
  • Polyethylene (PE)
  • Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)

These thermoplastics are recyclable and long-lasting – they do not oxidize or corrode.

Quality and responsibility guide production

Our pipes meet national and Nordic quality standards. MELTEX production complies with ISO quality management systems, and only renewable energy is used in manufacturing. All production waste is 100% recycled.

We continuously strive to reduce energy consumption, raw material use and waste generation. This ensures that the environmental impact remains as low as possible.
