Kerabit 4000 BASE KMS 170/4000 is a weldable SBS elastomer and bitumen-based, polyester-reinforced underlay and intermediate membrane with high elongation and elasticity, suitable for two- or multi-layer waterproofing. It meets the roofing association’s product class TL 2, the RIL 107-2012 guideline, as well as the EN 13707 and EN 13969 standards. The membrane is intended for use as an underlay and intermediate layer on roofs with slopes ≥ 1:80 in both new construction and renovation projects. It is also commonly used for water and moisture protection.

Waterproofing with bitumen membranes is performed using a bonding primer and welding the KMS 170/4000 across the entire surface. For water pressure insulation, 2-4 layers of KMS 170/4000 membrane are used, depending on the water pressure.
