Filter fabric for challenging and demanding applications, such as the foundations of the most demanding roads and railways.
Domestic MELTEX filter fabrics are designed to prevent the mixing of structural layers and to ensure a uniform thickness of base materials. This improves the load-bearing capacity of the structure and promotes material efficiency throughout the entire lifecycle of the construction. The excellent filtration properties of the fabrics allow efficient water permeability while keeping soil particles in place. The solution performs reliably even in applications subjected to high loads and strong water flow. The fabric meets the requirements of NorGeoSpec N5 class.
MX filter fabrics are manufactured from polypropylene fibres using a needle-punched process, resulting in a material that is both strong and flexible. The CE-marked and UV-stabilised products withstand typical chemical conditions found in soil, and they are designed for a service life of at least 100 years. The high quality of MX filter fabrics is based on the ISO 9001 quality management system as well as rigorous internal and external quality control.
The products can be recycled or used for energy recovery. When completely incinerated in a waste-to-energy plant, polypropylene produces only carbon dioxide and water vapour.
